The Hangout Place Code of conductÂ
All the rules below are subject to three account warnings, the first warning being a 24 hour ban, second warning is a 72 hour ban, third warning being a one week ban, followed by an irrefutable permanent ban on the fourth strike.
1. If a staff member or anyone else has broken any rules in any way, or abused his/her power, complaints can be sent via PMs to the Dictator staff account. The complaint will be looked over by various members of the staff and scrutinized for authenticity. If the member (And staff) in question is found to be in error, action will be taken accordingly.
2. Absolutely no disrespect to any member of the site, staff member or not. This includes degrading statements and publicized expressions of discontent regarding the staff or anyone else. If you a problem with someone, report it to The Dictator account so that action can be taken.
3. This is a site for friendly interaction, coarse language should not be present, as children may be on this site. Keep it civil. If you can't say something nice, be a dear and don't say anything at all.
3.b. Again, this site is for friendly interaction. If you have a problem with ANYONE, it should not be publicized. Report to the Dictator account if you are having an issue with anyone. Whether this is drama related or not, we (the staff) will do our utmost to resolve any issues.
3.c. Trolling is non-permissible. To put it simply.... don't do it. It's a bother and falls under the same qualifications as disrespectful See 2. and 3.
4. Polls are not to be abused in the form of popular sentiment to decide the staff rank or whether someone should be banned, or rule alterations. Suggestions may be sent to the Dictator account. If polls are abused in this way, they will be deleted.
5. Linking to other forums/chatrooms requires staff approval. PM a staff member for approval. Do NOT post a link for your chatroom/forum until one of the staff has given you approval. You must mark in your post with the link which staff member approved the chatroom link.
5.b. It is considered rude in general to invite people from one chat group to another, using another's forum as an advertisement opportunity. Therefore we request that you do not circumvent this rule and sent links via PMs. This is punishable by PM locking. We thank you for your cooperation.
These rules are not up for debate. This is not a democracy. Although we would love your input and feedback, in the end, it will not decide what the rules are, or who the staff is. The rules are not meant as a means of binding or bullying, they are meant to enhance the experience of this forum by encouraging the good behavior we expect from everyone. Please remember that there is a person behind the screen of every computer. We have feelings, and we aren't perfect. But we would like to make this the most fun we possibly can.
